southsudanI urge the political activists of both parties that are, Splm and Splm-Dc to start campaign of mobilization of Collo communities in Collo land and those in North Sudan to start returning to the South for the purpose of registration in up coming referendum for self- determination on whether the Sudan remain part of Sudan or secede and become an independent country.
Let us seize on the reconciliation between Splm and the rest of Southerner Sudanese parties in Juba to urge our people majority of whom are sill in Khartoum, Kanana and the rest of cities in the North that it is in their interest to return to Collo Land for registration and ultimately casting their vote on 09th January.

It is a responsibility and a duty of each and every activist to undertake the issue of campaigning and mobilizing our people to exercise their constitutional right to register on 14th November 2010 at registration centres set up for that purpose. I know it is difficult task to ask people to undertake that endeavour with out sufficient resources at their disposal and time limitation for registration. Because of significance of Referendum which will determine the future of our people and their children and grand children, I think it is imperative for those of us who are concerned to let our people know that they participate actively in up coming referendum to determine their destiny by casting on either unity or separation on 9th January.

Second, they must be made to understand that in case of eruption of war again between the south and North Sudan they, I mean our communities in the North are going to victims because the war would fought on different basis that is to say, on total annihilation of either side. This message must be clear to our communities so that they know the consequences of their decisions- in case of refusal or reluctant to returning for registration in Collo Land and cast their vote on 09th January 2011.

I am well aware of some reasons which will prevent most of our people to return to Collo Land, is in-security especially last event after April election had negative effect on our people. But that episode shouldn't be used as an excuse nor to discourage our people to return to their ancestral land for an historic event like referendum in January 2011.
In conclusion, I want to emphasize that the campaign for mobilization is a duty of each and every political conscious person be he or she a member of Splm or Splm -DC or any recognised party in the South Sudan. The referendum for self- determination for South Sudan is a long waited opportunity for Southerner Sudanese and we have to register and vote overwhelming for separation on 9th January 2011.
