November 18, 2013 (JUBA) – Glory Karsis, the current Miss South Sudan is due to represent the country at the 13th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, to be held in Alabang, Philippines.
The annual event, whose theme is, "The International Year of Water Cooperation” will be held on 7 December.
Karsis, in a brief media interview in the capital, Juba, said she was optimistic of winning the event, and thanked Xing Hu, a managing director at ZTE Corporation, for sponsoring her trip to the Philippines.
94 delegates from a similar number of countries from all over the universe will take part in the event, previously won by Tereza Fajksová from the Czech Republic.
