If the news that the stolen money in South Sudan has exceeded 4 billion dollars is true, and if it is true the news that senior leaders of the state are involved in matter, it will definitely mean that the corruption in South Sudan is unprecedented.
The corruption in the South would not draw the attention as the rebels have seen that their long fighting that ended with the establishment of the South Sudan state deserves a reward for what the sacrifices they made.
This matter can be understandable if we are talking about a rebel movement which, since its establishment in the early 1980s, did not give any concern to a certain political values.
The worrying thing in this regard is that the corruption in the South has become a security threat to the whole region in general and Sudan in Particular.
It was obvious that the lsit of the persons involved in the corruption included senior political, tribal, military and historical SPLM leaders a matter which will mean that those leaders will not face any trial, and that other leaders will also try to get their share of the fortune.
This will definitely lead to the collapse of South Sudan that will be followed by armed confrontations. This reality will spill over into neighboring countries just like what happened in Rwanda and Congo.
