Thousands of people have sought refuge from fighting between Sudan and neighbouring South Sudan in overflowing camps on the border.
Many refugees fleeing a conflict, which is mainly over disputed oil-rich land, walked for days without food or water. Some even died during the trip.
With the rainy season approaching, aid agencies say conditions will likely get much worse for them and disease could spread quicker in the crowded camps.
Al Jazeera's Anna Cavell reports from the Jamam refugee camp in South Sudan.
