(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese doctors at the Level 2.4 field hospital in South Sudan successfully performed an emergency C-section on a pregnant woman on Monday.
Doctors said the first baby girl born at the hospital weighed 3.5kg.
Doctors and nurses of the field hospital were praised by the medical commander of the mission for their accurate diagnosis and decision to operate, as well as, for the good care given to mother and baby.
The base commander and the commanders of agencies congratulated the new mother and the surgical team.
