KHARTOUM, Sudan (AP) - Sudan says it is ready to hold talks with South Sudan about outstanding issues between the two countries.
Sundan's Foreign Ministry said Saturday that the "security question" should top the agenda.
The ministry's statement comes just days after South Sudan accused Khartoum of resuming bombing of the south in violation of calls for peace.
The countries were supposed to hold talks in April about outstanding issues over oil revenue sharing and disputed border areas.
The talks failed to materialize last month when South Sudan captured the oil-rich town of Heglig, which is claimed and has since been reoccupied by Sudan.
South Sudan gained independence from Sudan after decades of civil war.
