Khartoum, July 24 (SUNA) - Acting Foreign Minister leaves tomorrow, Monday for Juba leading a delegation from the Ministry of Defense, the General Intelligence Service, the Rapid Support Forces in addition to the Director of South Sudan in the Foreign Ministry to reactivate Sudan’s role as the IGAD’s President to follow up the implementation of South Sudan Revitalized Peace Agreement.

The delegation will embark on dialogues and meetings with the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, his Deputy Riek Machar, Salva Kiir’s Security Advisor and the Minister of International Cooperation.

The delegation will also meet IGAD’s ambassadors accredited to Juba, the ambassadors of Troika, European Union and China.

The Acting FM Foreign Minister Ali Al-Sadiq said in a statement to SUNA that the delegation's visit will extend to , Uganda, one of the sponsors of the Revitalized Peace Agreement in South Sudan (in partnership with Sudan).

The minister added that the visit coincides with the holding of a high-level ministerial meeting hosted by the Ugandan government in cooperation with the United Nations, IGAD, the European Union and the International Organization for Migration, from 28-29 January, which deals with the issue of migration and drought and its complications in the Horn of Africa and the Sahel.
