Speaking at the event, head of the Bentiu Field Office, Hiroko Hirahara, paid tribute to the fallen peacekeepers as well as thousands of people killed during conflicts in South Sudan.
She acknowledged efforts and contributions by officers from the UN Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), UN agencies and their partners, and military and civil forces, who joined hands to bring good things to locals in the African nation.
She urged them to continue exerting efforts to serve more needy people.
