The youth church leaders say that South Sudan as a new nation has had enough wars since its independence.
They say it is time to build the new country with meaningful development initiatives.
The Chairperson of the Inter-Churches' Youth Association (ICYA) in Pageri Administrative Area Nimule town, Mr. Isaac Tombe advised South Sudanese youth population to devote their time in supporting the continuing country's peace and unity campaigns so that the new nation can achieve the most wanted progress.
He emphasized that South Sudan will not progress without genuine harmony, peace, love and unity among themselves.
One of the youth leaders, Pastor Tobias Abucha who is one of the ICYA's founders, urged the citizens to welcome the call to usher unity by working together to achieve their welfare as youth of South Sudan at large.
Acknowledging numerous challenges he encouraged South Sudanese to have hope and believe that peace will be achieved.
“Slowly by slowly with patience and time, we will reach or achieve what we aim at. We will one day one time overcome them (challenges), we have to persevere.”
The youth leaders condemned the ongoing conflict linked to power struggle.
They are calling upon the warring parties of the conflict to put down their guns and resort to diplomatic means through peaceful negotiations.
