The World Football Body (FIFA) and the Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS) agreed to construct a modern  academy in the south. The project costs 400.000 US dollars.

Speaking during the ceremony is Malakal on Wednesday, the Secretary General of the Sudan’s Football Association, Majdi Shames Eddine, disclosed that the academy will be constructed in the Upper Nile State. He further expressed hope that the project would support unity and brotherhood.
