Part of reason that had caused 1955 rebellionIn 1955, the Arab government in Khartoum had ordered the Southern troops to be exported to the Northern Sudan and the Northern troops to be stationed in South. But the southerners were wise enough that their forces had disobeyed the orders and have rebelled instead of executing them. Is SPLM/A Policy resemble the Khartoum-1955 policy?
Immediately
after signature of CPA that ended the war between South and North, Dr.
John Garang has appointed the administrative caretakers. Dr. Lam Akol
was ordered to serve in Bar el Gazhel, and Dr. Riek Machar in
Equatoria. Such decision by Dr. Garang had indeed feared many people
that something might be behind the notion. Additional informationOn
10/10/2008, I have received a phone call from Malakal that the
Invader brothers (Dinka) along the river of sobat are not allowing the
Shulluk women and men from going to work in their ordinary farms.Again on 12/10/2008, I have received a call from one of shulluk chief who informed me that shulluk chiefs
are heading to Fashodo tomorrow on 13/10/2008 on urgent mission. The
reason is that there was a circulated document found in Malakal streets
that contains the information asking shulluk to leave Malakal and other
areas or face a consequence. Is there any GOSS preventive intervention?I
have called one of shulluk political figure in Malakal and inquired
about the role of Malakal government, army and police to prevent and
protect the intimidated civilians before such incident occur. But,
he told me that police, army and government of Malakal are so
reluctant. The big fear is that, SPLA soldiers and policemen are being
occupied by Dinka from high ranking to lower who might be in a position
of supporting land confiscation. No shulluk people in police and army and political institution in their hometownIf
it is true, there is a saying that shulluk men and women in uniform
have been exported to other regions and are very few in numbers in
Malakal. Consequences of Shulluk absence in those fields- Partial demilitarization in which shulluk civilian weapons were taken by GOSS in Malakal leaving Dinka civilians with their weapons.- Culprit policemen
and soldiers could be culprit taking part in plot and collaboration
with armed citizens. There was a police force being sent to police the
troubling areas, but that force was dislocated into peaceful Dinka- Genocide shulluk
people would be massacred since they are not arm and not represented in
police, government and army. In Malakal, Dr. Lam was almost killed and
was asked to leave Malakal. In Malakal, almost two hundred people lost
their lives in 2006. In Malakal, many shulluk villages are invaded. In
Malakal, money and position have been given to others to enslave
shulluk and caused shulluk beautiful girls to simple and repugnant
before others. These are all preluding events which tell us, worst is
going to happen against shulluk people. Shulluk leaders in GOSS and in SPLA can
they say something and take a right decision. Our brothers from GOSS
who held a visit to king recently should do more by raising land issue
to GOSS.Shulluk leaders in PC (NIF) should act now rather than being too late. His majesty Shulluk King and his coordinators should
now not tomorrow call for generally public conference to take a
consensual decision which could at least deter the threat.Individuals we
do something specially in mobilizing other southerners and those who
misunderstand shulluk such as Nubian and Funj people to have picture
about what is taking place. Let express our dissatisfaction against this plot to avoid regret. Can protection and prevention occur after incident? Learn the lessons from Rwanda, South Africa and Liberia My
brothers and sisters, danger is encroaching our people. We do not
intend to be enemy to our brothers and sisters, but they have an
obvious readiness to harm us. We are not Dinka enemy, but we are their
brothers and their own people who suffered and fought side-by-side with
them against the true enemy of all..People were massacred in South Africa, Rwanda, and Liberia, but in future, search was not about to revenge, but to reconcile and forgive the
people who kill your people. There was no chance for the relatives of
victims to harm those who harm their love ones again. It was a gone
incident because people do search for peace rather than revenging. Therefore,
at least let shulluk do something to stop this eminent threat from
happening. Should we wait and be killed or silence and inherit future
of uncertainty to our children. No, my freedom or kill me. Let stop it now whether by peaceful mean if possible, or by whatever it may require.
