Otwel Akot Ajawin, from Palo in Panyidway, the Director of Agricultural Bank of the Sudan, passed away today, Friday 17th August, at 5:00 Pm at Khartoum
Teaching Hospital. He has been ill for some months and was taken to
Jordon for further treatment but with no improvement. His body shall be
flown to Malakal tomorrow if all the arrangements got completed. He has
been a courageous and a hard working man who did not bow down to Jilaba
oppression during the hard times of war. He stood firm against those
who wanted to destroy the Collo Kingdom and was never afraid to condemn
their activities openly. He was a strong mobilize of the Youth and
active member of the Collo Congregation of the Presbyterian church in Malakal.
He leaves behind a wife and children, some of who are already in the
university. May God rest his Soul in eternal peace and may he console
his family and friends, especially the wife who is terribly grieved
now. Amen.
