Khartoum Feb11(SUNA)-The Prime Minster and Chairman of the Current IGAD Round Dr. Abdallah Hamdouk affirmed that the transitional government exerted efforts to bring about peace in South Sudan.
The prime minister gave this statement Tuesday during meeting at his office with South Sudan Churches delegation headed by Bishop Almanjelo Wani Lyemei.
Following the meeting Bishop Lyemei told reporters that he offered his congratulation to Dr. Hamdoku for had been appointed as prime minister of the transitional government.
He explained that the meeting with the prime minister touched on the dialogue’s outcome launched recently on peace in South Sudan in Addis Ababa on sideline of the thirty third Session of AU Summit.
The Bishop stated that the political stability in South Sudan represents the stability in Sudan as well praising the role played by IGAD for bringing about peace in South Sudan.
Moreover, he hopes that Sudan could achieve its aspiration during the transitional period.
