The Kings and the queens of the Chollo Kingdom

Below is a list of the names of the kings and the queens that ruled the Chollo Kingdom from Nyikang Wad Okwa to the present king - Kwong Wad [John] Dak Padiet, in the following format: Name - Place of Reign - Period. However, I am not sure if it is all correct in terms of dates, spelling, etc.

Therefore, I am hereby asking anyone out there that may have a better or correct narration than the one shown below to come forward, and post it here. I found this narration on the bottom of the page shown in the link provided below. After having have had corrected some minor typos such as the 15-year gap that was between the reigns of Dak Wad Nyikang, which was mistakenly dated: 1590-1590 on line 3, and the one of Nyidor Wad Nyikang dated: 1605-1615 on line 4, and another 10-year gap between the reigns of Dyelguth Wad Nyadaway, which was also mistakenly dated: 1760-1760 on line 15, and the one of Kudit Wad Akon dated: 1770-1780 on line 16, as well as a few spelling mistakes here and there. Yet I am still not sure if some of the names are even spelled correctly such as Ocol on line 5, Bwoc on line 7, Akon on line 11, and Dyelguth on line 15, etc (just to name a few). Thus, your assistance will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

    Some questions:
Why do the Collo Kings rule outside of Pachod? Who was the first to rule outside Pachodo? What happens if a King will not have sons but only daughters, can they succeed him?

1.Why do the Collo Kings rule outside of Pachod? a. I don’t know. b. I think they form their own villages for the purpose of expanding the kingdom (this is just a personal opinion besides the point).
2.Who was the first to rule outside Pachodo? The first to rule outside Pachodo was none other than ‘Nyikang Wad Okwa’ himself, who ruled from ‘Niwal’, between 1545-1575.
3.What happens if a King has no sons but only daughters, or if the sons are underage at the time of his death, can ladies succeed to the throne? a. It will go to one of his brother grown sons, like the case with ‘Tugo’s’ family on lines 11 and 12. And ‘Nyadaway’s’ family on lines 13, 14, and 15, as well as line 16 where the kingship when back to ‘Akon’s’ family. b. Yes ladies can become kings, if and only if there are no grown males available at the time to succeed to the throne, like the case of ‘Abudok Nya Bwoc’ who ruled from ‘Thwor’ between 1660-1670. Even though they say she said kingship is not a job for women, and no woman should rule after her. Yet there is no established rule stating that women cannot come to the throne if there are no grown males available at the time to take over the job.

Thank you brother Mathew Pagan. I hope I answered your questions to your satisfaction.

Oh, brother Mathew Pagan. Another case scenario was shifting the kingship from ‘Nyidor’s’ family on line 4, back to ‘Dak’s’ family on line 5.
