His unrelenting and unforgiving pursuit of criminality has often had lethal consequences for any one foolish enough to cross his path. Last year, GoSS issued the following statement; Gabriel Tanginyang is a murderer who believes himself to be above the law. I believe that GoSS will not tolerate such behavior but GoSS, is pursuing a new way which will bring this notorious vigilante to justice.
Gabriel Tanginyang is one of the NCP stooges, for many years fighting and working alongside Arab-north. He led the war in Malakal 2006.
Judging by recent events it seems that nothing has changed, the GoSS is still powerless to bring him to justice as long as he's still with Jallaba (Arab-north, Sudan).

dear Wad-Tit, I totally support you, Mr Tanginyang is scaring everybody down here man; the government officials are just shouting in the media but none of them is risking himself to stop the killings.
I live in Malakal and I attended the crisis here, you can't believe seeing our honourable ministers fleeing the town and leaving the poor behind.
Although no more shootings now, it's not the end, our leaders are urged to look for lasting solutions as this man may just decide to come down again with more agony.

I share the views written by Wad-Tit. This senario was like cow-boy movie. Mr. Gabriel Tangannyang came on town unnotice by the might of SPLA spies. Instead he was recongnized by the airport women workers who alert the government. The acting governor who was a malitia leader could not do anything. The government ministers have to run to Dolieb Hill 26Km south of malakal. The police commander ran untill he reached Nairobi. This the type of government we have in Upper Nile. Many people in GoSS in Juba must be happy now since they think all the shilluks are NCP supporters. Tanginying will come again soon. Malakal today was living in fear.

it is realy suprising, how did Tanggyenye enter the twon without being detected by SPLA MI?the MI officer in charged should be held acountable for that neglegence!and again how come the SPLA has only two tanks and SAF has 8?both forces are JIUs and suppose to have equal support weapons and armour which is for the size of troops in malakal is one batalion of tanks 8 tanks.where are ours?we are tired of being chessed by militias every now and then.
God be with the people of Malakal for the perserverence they have shown.
A country which its enemy is detected by working women in the airport can't survive,we better look for solutions.

Yeah, a wanted criminal can easily sneak back into town at will, start some more serious trouble that left another over fifty people dead and God knows how many wounded and how much property damage it left behind. And what did he get for all this destruction? Nothing, absolutely nothing, nada; not even a simple slap on the wrist, but instead a state escort to private jet to fly him back to Khartoum (courtesy of GNU as a complement for a job well done). Isn’t that wonderful? SPLA OYEE!
The so-called GoSS is just a joke. A BIG FAT joke if you ask me, which I think a grade one primary pupil can easily run successfully any day with his/her eyes closed, and his/her hands tight behind his/her back. Imagine if the president of the GoSS Mr. Mayardit himself still believes that the war is not over yet. HELLO!!! I must say we really have a very sticky problem in our hands to contend with for generations, and generations to come.
I don’t think many of those in Juba really know, or even give a damn about what’s happening in their own backyards, or going on in Malakal today. All they care about nowadays is looting of public money/property, land grabbing, and having as many concubines as possible (just to name a few); while the people of Malakal are badly neglected, and left to fend for themselves on their own. They are abandoned by their own (so-called) government, and left at the mercy of this illiterate coward outlaw called Gabriel Tanginyang.
Unfortunately, with this incompetent government called GoSS; the people of Malakal are literally caught between the rock and a hard place. Only God will help us through this!!!
Finally I would like to take this opportunity to thank brother Akic Adwok Lwaldeng for contributing the article, and brother Akoldid, and brother Urbano Tipo for the nice comments. Please keep up the good work, and always try your best to keep us informed out here. I rather hear it from you than from someone else ... God bless you all.

The man doesn’t only believe to be above the law, but he is actually above the law. Not only that the GoSS has failed to bring him to justice, but they are actually very afraid of him for some reasons; to the point that it took the Sheriff, sorry I mean the Vice President of the GoSS [Dr. Riek Machar] to ask him to leave town peacefully in the recent events in Malakal. Just like what we used to see in Wild Wild West movies.
