An eye witness of Malakal events.
The governor of Upper Nile State Galwak Deng Garang a second generation Dinka turned -Nuer
Who had failed to become Nuer in essence, but still behave like a typical Dinka. The Nuers are worriers, but respectful and never offend others in their own rights, especially the in-laws. When General Arok Thon Arok fell while retreating with his comrades at Kongor the time martyr Odoho was murdered, Dr. Riak Machar told the Nuer youth that it would be a disgrace to leave an in-law behind to be killed, that’s how martyr Arok Thon was saved. Thus if Galwak was a true Nuer he would have not allowed the massacre of the Collo people at Anakdiar in this ugly scene of ethnic cleansing act. Galwak had always been Anti-Collo since his first governorship after INGAZ came to power when he laid off all the Collo officials.
Since the incident of the massacre on the early morning of 10 th Jan. at Anakdiar till 12th January 2009 the Government of Upper Nile State had not issued a statement condemning the killings nor visited the displaced nor had the government given any food items. Thanks to the NGOs. Glwak at his appointment as the governor, was welcomed by the inocent citizens of Upper Nile state including the poor Collo people who never knew his toxic plan of Dinka take over of Malakal town. Galwak intentionally played down all the warnings from Dink Ngok and Dongjol about the ownership of Malakal town, and could not take heed.
Instead, Galwak Deng Garang brought his toxic plan to Reth Kwong Dak Padiet who in-turn failed to envisage the master plan and endorse it. Reth Kwongo Dak who seems to have fallen out with his subjects. In the old days Collo never talked about their supreme ruler for the fear of “CIEN” this is no longer the case, since reth himself do not protect his people. But even then Reth DYELGUTH was killed by Collo because of his mischievous rule, Reth AKOC was tied to the bull that dragged him till death. Collo people never tolerated bad governance. H.M. disgraced the Collo Nation by his appearance during the 9th January celebrations with pink law instead the White (paro) which is the royal dress and putting around his royal right arm instead of any royal ornament, a mass of hijab, by so doing abusing the sprit of NYIKANGO that should protect the Reth painting a picture of a magician while greeting Omer Bashir.

People like Galwak, Thon Mum and the commander of the SPLA in Upper Nile State must face trial for genocide and ethnic cleansing for the following reasons:
1.Galwak as the governor condone the killing of the Collo people.
2.Thon Mum has a militia that has burnt down the Collo homes.
3.The commander of SPLA in Upper Nile State had allowed his forces to be used in the killing of Collo at Anakdiar, the evidence is the dead major with the SPLA badge on his shoulder.

A Collo committee of layers are compiling the case to file a case in ICC.
