The fundamental problem of Sudan is a lack of true democratic governance system and domination of socio-economic and political system by autocratic rules since the Sudan?s independence in 1956 from the British. Sudan is known as a one country with many cultural. That is why SPLM has been sensitizing about the fundamental of problem of Sudan since 1983. SPLM believed that the only solution to the problem of Sudan is through concepts of NEW Sudan by changing governance system in Khartoum into true democratic reform that will bring lasting peace in the country.
Marginalized people of Black African origins rejected the policies of current regime and its policies that we must all become Arab inSudan. The black African origins believe that being Muslim does not change one?s ethnic or identity status to become Arab.
The relationship between Islam and ethnicity in Sudan has also created huge divisions among various ethnic groups of black Africans. It is undeniable that there is a lack of political unification and political will among the marginalized people, which is needed to confront the regime inSudan. However, the marginalized black Africans origins in Sudan have rejected the policies of Arabization, Islamization, and ethnic cleansing against the marginalized people. The marginalizes people of black African origins in Sudan have rejected and refused fascists policies designed by the Islamic Fascist regime in Sudan based on Islamic state, Arab culture, Arab language and that we must all become Arab. The regime has been using the methods of racial divide and ethnic cleanliness as we have witness inDarfur . The NCP ideology is to build a monolithic Islamic Fascists and the only way they can do that is to apply a method of racial divide by recruiting tribes against tribes so that no one would challenge them in a political arena so that they can remain in power indefinitely. TheSudan is country with multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-religious, and multi-cultural which require a democratic system of governance where everybody will have equal rights like anybody.
The New Sudan political force has a new sets political ideology based on the New Sudan?s slogan that will serve the best interest of all the people ofSudan regardless of race, religions, culture, and language. I believe that we can build the strong united Sudan if and when we adopt the concepts of New Sudan that let?s first and foremost see ourselves as a Sudanese regardless of our differences. The principles and foundation of New Sudan is based on fairness and justice to all the people ofSudan. Under New Sudan concept we would have a strong Sudan , united by the voluntary free will of its people, and achieved through the exercise of the right to self-determination for the southern people.Sudan people Liberation Movement's goal was to establish the New Sudan as a unified political force and its main goal was to change a political system in the country and bring equality, and justice, where the various nationalities of the country can develop their culture in freedom, where no particular religion is selected as the creed of the state. The continuation of conflict inSudan is an attempted by the Islamic fascist?s regime in Khartoum to create a monolithic Islamic empire in Sudan . The National Congress party or national Islamic Front policy is a form of apartheid governance system base on religious and racial discriminations against black African origins inSudan.
The SPLM's decision on October 11, 2007, to suspend it participation from the government of national unity was used to force this autocratic regime to change its deviant behavior and commit to full implementation of the CPA and to stop its old tactic by avoiding implementation of the CPA. We all gives praise to the SPLM for the decision SPLM took to pullout from this evil regime. Now we understand after the SPLM took a firm position by pullout from the government of national Unity until the national Congress party or NIF implemented all the demands. But the NCP have realized that SPLM will not return to the government of national Unity unless the national Congress party implements the CPA fully. The NCP seemed to have understood the impact and seriousness of SPLM's decision knowing that International community have run out of patience with them and now either they implements the CPA or face serious consequences. Last Sunday, we have learned that NCP have response to all the issues that were demanded by SPLM to be implement by the end the year.
As we know that this the worse corrupted government of our time and malicious regime that continues exploiting the nation?s wealth. The national Congress party have been misusing the nation?s wealth for more than seventeen years of it rules. The NCP also misuse the nation?s wealth for it political gambling to maintain it powers and systematic massive slaughter of black African origins inDarfur western Sudan . The Sudanese people have been made hostage by this evil regime government that brought the suffering to the poorest Sudanese who have been sufferings silence for seventeen of it rules. The SPLM and other political opposition parties should take a firm action and more decisive determination to deal with this regime to save the soul of our nation. Many Sudanese believe that they have run out of patience with this regime and the world will witness one day unstoppable unrest in the streets ofKhartoum if the world fail act now. It is undeniable that there is uncovers horrific evidence of systematic campaign by this autocratic Islamic regime against black African origins inDarfur western Sudan.
We the Sudanese must fully understand that this regime has a clear agenda to turned SudanDarfur western Sudan today is a strategic and shameful in the face of international community. In 2001, Sudan Vice President Ali Osman Taha made a notorious statement to justified ongoing killing inDarfur into an Islamic empire. In 2005, before peace agreement, late Dr. John Garang warns international community that, ?If this Islamic regime is not stopped, the impact may be felt across African and beyond.? He was right, because what happening in western that, ?The jihad is our way and we can not abandon it and will keep its banner high.? What kind of government declaring jihad against their own citizen? It is this malicious government that continues to act against its own citizen in order to remain in power.
The SPLM and other Sudanese political opposition forces in the country must accept its responsibility as a part of our national call and duty to save the soul of our nation from this autocratic rule. The SPLM and other opposition political forces must know that our history will look back at this moment in time and judge us harshly on our inability and lack of strength and political will to remove the regime from power. It is important that SPLM and other political opposition forces in the country have a unified purpose and objectives to remove this regime inKhartoum.
We are all convince that this autocratic regime is not commit to implement all peace agreements they have signed such as, Comprehensive Peace Agreement, Darfur Peace Agreement , Eastern Sudan Peace Agreement, and NDA -Cairo Peace Agreement. The SPLM and other political opposition forces who signed the peace agreements with the NIF regime were hoping that they can reform this autocratic rule from within but unfortunately this regime cannot be reform from within because it continues to play same tacit of buying times and avoiding full implementation of peace agreement. We are dealing with determining enemy against the Sudanese people. There are two ways to defeat this autocratic rule. First, the SPLM and other political opposition forces in the country must work together and engage the supports of the grass root levels throughout the country with clear aims and objectives to defeat this great enemy who works against the will our people. The election of 2009 will be significant and before it is too late both the SPLM and other political opposition parties must work together with aims and objective how to defeat this regime politically through the democratic process in election of 2009. All Sudanese must know that we as a citizens have duty and responsibility to challenge this malicious regime who continues to work against the will of our people. This regime must not be allowed to continue with it policies which causes so many sufferings throughout the country for more than seventeen years of it rules.
Second, the regime cannot and will change it deviants? behavior and the only alternative and last resort is to execute this autocratic rule using aggressive military campaign against the regime and remove it from the power and ended the suffering of our people. This is great enemy of our time and is determining to use any means against the Sudanese in order to remain in power. The SPLM and other political opposition must have a unified military strategy with clear aims and objectives to topple this regime from power and build a nation base on NEW SUDAN concepts that will accommodate all the Sudanese people. Both the SPLM and other political opposition forces in the country must join hands militarily to execute this autocratic rule from power. Although we all know that there will be a significant lost of lives and it will not be an easy task to remove this evil regime from power which has been in power for seventeen years and it will try to do anything in its power against the Sudanese people.
Of course we know that there are no easy walks for freedom and it is the right and duty of citizens to stand for our freedom. President George Bush once said, ?Desire for freedom is universal written by Almighty God in the heart of every mankind.? It is this deals that led SPLM took up armies since 1983 to bring changes to the oldSudan system of governance in Khartoum and build a nation base on new ideas and pluralistic society to accommodate our rich diversity where we all become a decision maker for the destiny of our nation.
