I want to ask you, do you want to set the ground for an other MatabeleLand reminiscent to what happened in Zambwaue of Robert mugbe in chollo Kingdom?
If the answer is yes, have you considered the consequence of that ban?
My fear is you are giving the security apparatus in the south Sudan in general and Upper Nile state in particular an excuse to hunt, harass and arbitrary arrest of innocent citizens of Chollo origin on suspicion of being a member or supporter of SPLA/M.
You know well more than any of us the non-existent of law and order because the enforcement organ or agencies, that are police and judiciary, are very weak and much worst incompetent because many of their personnel have never been trained nor have qualifications to practise as judges. Even if they are qualified the judiciary is not independent in the South as well in North Sudan. Once, such people are given powers to enforce such measures and implement it the De-Legitimisation as you said it they would take the law into their hands, abuse it and who are the victims of such measures of course you know that.
Second, you claimed in your article that you warned Dr Lam after he lost the election of last April not to embark on arming or inciting Chollo militant to attack SPLA/M soldiers in Chollo Kingdom. The question is why didn't you alert Reth Kwongo since he is related to you and also in his capacity as the spiritual leader of Chollo you have a duty to let him know about the impending danger in case the Chollo militant or militia attack the SPLA/M soldiers stationed in Chollo Land?
Why it took so long to speak out against the dangers that would befall Chollo Land and people due to such attacks on the SPLA/M soldiers.
You kept quiet and now after destruction of Chollo villages and atrocities the Chollo in Pashodo have been subjected to by SPLA/M soldiers commanded by Dinka elements. It seemed you're not satisfied with all the crime committed against innocent civilians whom you blamed for their support to SPLM/DC and they deserved what they have gone through at the hands of SPLA/M soldiers. Now you are embarking on new measures which will bring more suffering to innocent Chollo civilians in Malakal and elsewhere in the South and in particular in Upper Nile states.
Dr Peter Adwok Nyaba you have hurt the feelings of many chollos who are concerned about the current conflict in Chollo Kingdom by condoning the atrocities and crime committed by SPLA/M soldiers on the pretext of disbarment. Such brutality should be condemned by any loving persons whether you are SPLM member or SPLM/DC or any party or even you do not belong to any organisations. We should not condone what SPLA/M soldiers have done in Chollo Land and in particular in Wic Rek and Pashodo simply because they Southerners and hence we turn a blind eye to their crimes against innocent women, children and elderly people.
Your hatred and rivalry with Dr Lam has completely obscured your reading of the events despite your repeated denial that you do not harbour such sentiments. But on earth you blame Dr Lam of what have happened in Chollo kingdom when people were killed in Ankidir and villages were burnt in Abanim.
None of you people in SPLM party including the Secretary general Pagan Amum condemned or demanded an investigation to establish the facts behind those attacks on Chollo people in Ankidir and Abanim.
What would you expect Chollo youth to do when you failed to show leadership but instead you become agent in destruction of Chollo land and its people.
The lack of leadership and division among Chollo politicians and community at large have left a vacuum and who will fill that vacuum?? Of course the angry youth who have lost faith and confidence in you politicians as you have demonstrated in your response to Dr Peter Adowk Otto.
It is very sad and heart breaking to read an article from Learned person like Dr Peter Awok Nyaba at the time people looking for your contribution in resolution of the conflict between Chollo and Dinka Pandang on land grabbing which is the root of the conflict between the two communities.
