The officer in charge and program officer of World Food Program (WFP) in Upper Nile, Lucy Wasu, has said that the WFP is currently catering to over sixty seven families who fled their areas over misunderstandings between civilians and the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA), during disarmament exercise in Lul county of Fashoda.

Lucy disclosed that a WFP team, in collaboration with other organizations, is on its way to asses the situation on the ground. Eye witnesses stated that clashes broke out between elements of the SPLA disarmament unit and civilians over accusations of arms possession.
