solutions to situations of conflict, no matter how long they have been going on and no matter how difficult the motives which caused them. Efforts to restore harmony depend upon the parties involved being willing and determined to implement the conditions needed for peaceful solutions.
At a time of growing consciousness of the significance of respect for human rights as a basis of just and peaceful world, the question of the respect due to minorities must be confronted seriously, especially by political and religious people. Integration should have been built on effective solidarity and freedom from discrimination.
Dialogue and Negotiations
Where relations between groups within a state have broken down, dialogue and negotiation are the obligatory paths to peace. Reconciliation in accordance in accordance with justice and respect for the legitimate aspirations of all sectors of the state community must be the rule. Political movements based on the regional, tribal, religious and socio-economic divisions have been responsible for numerious breakdowns of authority in the first twenty five years of independence.Religious leaders play an important role in fostering that harmony. Religious freedom is a right which every individual has because it arises from the inalienable dignity of each human being. It exists independently of political and social structures and the state has the obligation to defend this freedom from attack or interference.
A new beginning means that it has not always been so. We have indeed known bad days. When people are weak and poor and defenceless, it is the duty of the religious leaders to raise their voices on their behalf.
Some of us are not responsible for other people actions. Their use to say, they are responsible for their own action, they are not responsible for the others; no one else is responsible for his actions”. This is s negative aspect. This conviction has caused a moral revolution. It liberates men from moral bondage both in the present and to the past.
There is no salvation outside the group.
