The press conference on SSTV on the night of Tuesday 4th May 2010 in Juba by Lt. Gen. Oyai Deng Ajak and Brig. Alfred Akwoc of the SPLM that elections were rigged in Collo, has no truth what so ever.
The truth is these gentlemen were refused by the Collo community for the role they played in the destruction of the Collo land which is very natural. Oyai Deng Ajak a known hero of SPLA neglected the Collo people during the devastation of the Collo people on the 9th Jan. 2009 during the celebrations of the CPA when Collo people were massacred at Anakdiar and Abaniomo villages by his armies(SPLA) from Dinka soldiers. No ones will allow their land to be occupied by any others.
When Oyai Deng Ajak was campaigning for elections, he had to pass through the villages propagating for him self, Salva and Yasser Saeed Arman. When the people heard this, he was asked why he should be campaigning for SALVA Kiir who gave away the Collo lands to the Dinkas? He had no answer for this. They told him that if he were running as an independent, they would consider giving him their votes after investigating why he ran away without visiting the massacre sites in January 2009. Any one who had chosen to have masters more than his people, should not contemplate to seek their votes in an election.
The Collo people are not ordinary citizens any politician can take for a ride. What Alfred Akwoc regarded as refusal of Dinka by the Collo during the interview is not a secret, because the Dinka soldiers in Collo land are behaving like an occupation army looting, shooting and raping in Collo land. Any one whose property is being destroyed by who ever, the result will be the same. Lt. Gen. Oyai Deng Ajak if he went to Anakdiar the following morning 10th January 2009, by virtue of his office, the SPLA army would have been cowed down and the Collo would have had a little better opinion about the chief of staff. Two counties were created by the president of the GOSS on Collo land what would Alfred Akwoc expect the Collo to be doing? Kiss the feet of invaders? Alfred Akwoc and Oyai Deng Ajak must be asked why they joined the SPLA in the first place, is it not because of the marginalization by the north? But how can Collo people scarifies their lives and land for people who do not respect others.
The idea that the Collo king supported Omar El Bashir and Salva never meant that Collo would vote automatically for them. The speech of H.M. Kwongo Dak in Malakal was clear, there was nothing like vote for Oyai or Alfred. Collo are the most politically sophisticated people in the south thus you made a big mistake by taking them for granted. Gen. Oyai had made a political blunder by beating and arresting NEC official at Doleib Hill. He should just report any irregularities to NEC, and it is his right to have the constituency re-contested, for or votes recounted.
These two gentle men if they stood for elections as independents they would have passed perhaps. The south is impending going to dogs as there is turmoil in all the corners due to massive elections rigging against other parties and independent candidates by the SPLM/A known by the whole world. Dr. John Garang said that “Colonialism has no color” no colonizer is better than the other. If Gen. Oyai and Gen. Alfred learnt the philosophy of Dr. Garang, they would have faired well, and their new masters want to replace the colonizers they seem to be fighting, it will be very difficult for Collo people to identify the old from new colonizers.
Gen. Alfred Akwoc is making himself a laughing stock by accusing the SPLM-DC. For rigging in a place infested by his soldiers. It was the people who rejected them and were told face to face that they will not be voted for if they carry the banner of SPLM in Collo Land. Gen. Alfred ought to be reminded that When the Collo people stood firmly with SPLM/A, he was smuggled into Malakal, operated for appendicitis and again smuggled him out without the enemy smelling the news. He should be grateful to the people he is accusing for his gracious life. The people you seem to dislike now owes you a lot. Last thing for both gentlemen losing a fight is not losing the whole war. The best is not to destroy your image politically as you will come back in four years time. We are not happy how you people managed the south. Now that the south is scrambling with rebellions. Is it not better for you to go back and reform your army?.

Rev. Martin Luther King: "OUR LIVES BEGIN TO END THE DAY WE BECOME SILENCE ABOUT THINGS THAT MATTER."
Dear Collo nation,
we were and we will continue to be a democratic nation in the Sudan and in the whole world. Remember Collo communit does conducts the election by throwing their stiks in favor of each candidate and those stiks are counted to know who is a winer.
ELECTION PROMISES:
Candidates must have programs based on structural issues such as:
Health, education, protection, economy and freedom etc. There is no candidate seeking vote from voters without promising them on a certain important issue each community may concern about.
Let give a single example. Some years ago, a collo politician went to seek for vote from collo village living tens of kms away from river. The important issue to those villagers were WATER. Knowing their needs, collo politician aspiring to gain their votes had pledged to dig them a well so that they will never again pitch water from remote river.
He won the election, but he never execute his promise. Next time, he went back again to be elected. But Collo villgers knew that he has no moral word as he does diswoned his own promise in the past. Poor collo politician was given wine without water and when he asked for water, the chief told him that they have no water as they are still waiting for him to dig a well. Conseuently, he went back to Malakal without telling the vilagers that he did came to ask them to vote for him.
These days since 2005, the important issue to collo people is security. They need a leader who can protect them. Now since security is the first issue to voters, has Oyai and Alfred promise to them that they will do something to protect Collo people. What have they do during many vandalism and extermination carried out against Collo people?
Deng and Alfred, collo community did gave you a warning message during this frist election. Adjust yourselves before next election so that you may have moral chance.
But if you persist that because you are general and you should not fail the election, my brothers you will find yourselves in war with your own community. It time now to come on to one page.

Those gentlemen deserve respect from all Southerners people for their role in War. Without Afred Bor rebellion would have been destroy by enemy in the first day.
Without Oyay SPLA would have gone way. But their problem they don't know their strengh and weight in SPLM/A . They don't know that, they are potential leader in SPLA like Dr. John Garang or Salva Kiir. They limited their role to be subordinated in SPLA, rather than demonstrating leadership and justice for their people like everybody in South Sudan.
How do they expect Collo to vote for SPLM, while SPLM is murdering citizens, confiscating land, harassing citizen, involving rape and sexual abuses etc. Especially for Mr. Oyay Deng Ajak & Afred Akwoc if their part of County Panykango & Fashodo Counties are struggling annexion to other communities under their watch without saying NO to Kiir. As if they fought the war to loose their land or give it away to other community.
It's not too late election cycle is there in four years to come. They just need to know nobody can take humiliation and start protecting community interest: land, property, civil right, employment etc.
Then they may be the next winners. May be they want to take note from George Athor their Junior officer. And start voicing out in SPLM/A regarding what went wrong in Collo Kingdom under SPLM leadership and how they can correct that to ensure safety and security to Luo/ Collo people.

1st L.G. Oyay Deng Ajak you are still one of our important leaders although you loss the election. The Collo Kingdom nation did not refused to vote for you and G. Akwoc but they refused to vote for SPLM you must understand that because they don’t have any problem with you or with and son of Collo kingdom in SPLM. You must correct the wrong things that happened to you with your people and you have a very big chance in the coming election.
Do not blame SPLM-DC for that because our people in Upper Nile state they took their won decision by themselves and they are free.
No thing bad in SPLM as a party but the leaders of SPLM.
