Bishop Vincent Mojwok is known as the most humble and handsome healthy bishop of all the Catholic bishops of the Sudan. He has served his people in Sudan and especially in Greater Upper Nile faithfully for decades during the good times of peace had hard times of wars. In education sector, he will be lovely remembered and appreciated for the gift of St. Lwanga Basic and Secondary school in Malakal. This school has been the best in performance and has done a lot to bring up and empower many bright young men and women with Christian values in different fields (medicine, law, education, politics, economics, administration, agriculture, theology, philosophy, etc.) for upholding the dignified future of South Sudan. I am one of the products of this school and am so grateful to the retired Bishop Vincent (Wa Nyiker from Tonga). May God grant him long and happy life so that he continues to witness more of the success of the fruits of his selfless human labour. May God find a wise and a humble hardworking Bishop for Malakal in near future to continue the good work of Bishop Vincent and add more common good to the people of Greater Upper Nile (Jonglei, Upper Nile and Unity State).

I do not understand how Fr. Roko Taban got in as Apostolic Administrator of Malakal but I hope he will not mess up the Diocese. I hope his appointment does not implies removing him from Khartoum Diocese as the Vicar-General and damping him in Malakal Diocese to avoid complains about him in Khartoum Diocese to His Eminence, Cardinal Gabriel Wako. It would have been better if Bishop Daniel Adwok was sent back from Kosti Diocese of Malakal to fit in the shoes of Bishop Vincent. But all in all, let us hope and pray for the best in the said transition period for Fr. Roko.
