October 18, 2014 (JUBA) - South Sudan president Salva Kiir on Friday unexpectedly issued an executive order moving his legal advisor, Telar Riing Deng to diplomatic service.
According to a decree issued on the state-owned SSTV, Deng, known to be one of president Kiir’s most powerful allies, becomes the country’s new ambassador to Russia.
Garang Diing Akuong, South Sudan’s former trade and industry minister and Emmanuel Lowilla, the ex-minister for the presidency were posted to the United States and China respectively.
