Sudan's officials news agency says that a high level delegation of ministers from South Sudan will head to Khartoum this week to prepare for a meeting between the presidents of the two countries.
Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and South Sudan's President Salva Kiir are set to meet April 3. It would be just the second time the two have held talks since the South was granted independence last year after decades of civil war.
The leaders are set to meet in South Sudan's capital of Juba.
Sudan's state news agency said Tuesday that the talks are aimed at resolving disputes.
The two nations sides have been at odds over oil and profits, and Sudan has accused its new neighbor of supporting militia fighters on its soil.
