Establishment of Radio Voice of Cøllø FM

Intro:

A nation without a voice is not an existing nation. A voice in this regards is media, for that mater, radio is an essential medium for the expression of feelings, grievances and a tool for the mobilization of resources.

Unlike the newspaper, radio is very cheap and accessible medium to every one without discrimination and irrespective of educational level. It is fast in dissemination of information to a wider range of people and most importantly, it has the potential to appeal to the sentiments of the people without any prejudices.

Cøllø people need now such an important medium than ever before; the areas of Cøllø which extends from Moumo to Tonga and across both sides of the River Nile needs proper protection from marauding communities who are causing terror, displacement in search for contemporary settlement a long the Nile at the expense of another regardless of history.

Therefore, Radio Voice of Cøllø is very important, and we must support it now!

Vision and Objectives

  1. Links and mobilize Cøllø people to discuss issues pertaining to their survival, challenges and the way forward.

  2. Encourages dialogue and reconciliation between Cøllø people on one hand, and other communities around Cøllø land on the other.

  3. Promotion of Cøllø cultural institutions to enable them cop up with the demands and challenges of our time.

I’m hereby appealing to all Cøllø compatriots wherever they are to contribute what ever they could afford to make this Radio Voice of Cøllø a reality.

Dear Astuz Gwado,You have putit right at this time where all Collo are facing big challenges!! If We as Collo Nation want to take our poistion in the South at all level than this your project is the one of most needed now. I as one of the Collo Community leaders in US will take this project of yours as our task and would like to see this vision in life within one or two years let our working together talks. Dear Mr. Gwado,

thank for coming up with the century proposal and this is a good idea and potential steps we need to enter Collo Nation to 21 century with the awareness of underground plan against them and also 2009 challenges. The information system and Radio station are most important key to mobilize nation about an expected dangers and connect them with worldwide, therefore, I will strongly support the proposal and it's very clear vision with estimate data bases and total costs. This message for Collo in Diasporas and motherland "if we start with Radio to day, we will automatically have TV tomorrow" in other hand it's a good investment for Collo Contributors, so please let us support the project for beneficiary of Collo Nation.

It's a good idea to pursue, and I think we need to have a look to our brothers who have started before us like Anyuak, embodied in Anyuak Radio.May be we can cut down the budget.

  • Olam

I'm so excited about the idea that has been brought up by one of wise thinkers of Cøllø! We ought to have a radio to call our own, and through it, we would be able to explorer and air our, culture's news, songs, story, language, and much more freely with a rush of time. Having a Radio to call ours is very important! thank you, Mr. Gwado for your expertise in reaching the Cøllø community with this info. Vote me in for "YES!" since the radio is for the community, and the community are the citizens of South Sudan; south sudan which has a government for the community! I think it would also be wise thought for the south sudan government to put its hand on the job and vote its part (pounds/dollarsy) to the community of Cøllø to let that radio station stand as soon as possible!
