Collo Meeting in Khartoum
Yesterday (6th April 2007), at 3:00 p.m sudanese local time, Collo held a six hours
meeting in the House of King Kwongo (Goldwong) in Khartoum.
The meeting was organized by Fashoda Welfare and Benevalence Organization. They briefed the chiefs
and the community about the Second All Collo Peace and Development Conference that
is going to take place in Malakal from 24th - 27th under the patronage and blessing
of His Royal Highness, King Kwongo Dak. The meeting endorsed the rationale of that
conference that 'it is time to think and work together for the development of the
collo land, by the collo people and for the collo people without bringing in
differernces and divisions that are being experienced by collo both in Sudan and
Diaspora.' Some people tried to raise the issue of Gaar and Lwaak but they were
seriously condemned by women and chiefs who told them that collo is one and should
be united without attitudes of seggregation. That conference was proposed by collo
community in Nairobi to be held in Kodok town but since the king is the final
authority the venue has been changed to Malakal where he wants it to be held. This
will enforce the case that Malakal belongs to Collo and not Dinka Bailiet.
am rally support collo meeting in khartoum .and I hope that it will draw all collo community attention , this meeting relly will hopefully open up the eyes of the collo community so they will help ,In away, you are part of the meaning of collo , we need unity and unity it cannot exist without diversity; There are two processes which are constantly ongoing in creation ,,or reality; unification and dissolution -that is, parts coming together to form organic unities ,indeed unity (which is always creative)
also to point out that while we have had along practical history of understanding the real meaning of unity in collo community , we need to coming out which good teamwork for collo community.
